Transparency in the Internet Marketing World? Yanik Silver & Derek Gehl are Making it a Reality

By Adam Toren ·

Yanik SilverYanik Silver has been one of my favorite online marketers for a long time.  Over the past couple of years, Yanik has also become a good friend. We met when I had the opportunity to attend one of his Maverick Business Adventures, and I also interviewed Yanik a while back, over at YoungEntrepreneur.com (read interview). If you ever have the chance to attend one of his events, you won’t be sorry.  The volume of information and valuable insight, the fantastic speakers, and the incredible networking opportunities are all very powerful. Yanik has been doing what he does for over 11 years now (which is pretty much an eternity online) and has truly earned the respect of his customers as well as those within the online marketing industry. His story of starting from his one-bedroom apartment and creating an online empire has been a real inspiration for the tens of thousands of people he’s helped. But it seemed like he had been pretty quiet lately, and now I know why… It turns out that about three years ago Yanik was pretty burnt out on the industry because of what had been happening - and who can really blame him? Pretty much every time you check your email there’s the next “big thing.” There’s so much noise, confusion, fake gurus and just all around fluff and BS, it’s become nearly impossible for a serious entrepreneur to figure out who is legitimate or which option or path to take online. But now Yanik is stepping back into the picture. And he’s doing so because he wants to lead a ‘revolution’ of sorts - a mission to bring transparency, integrity, and value back to online marketing. And he’s not alone! Yanik has teamed up with one of the original online pioneers, Derek Gehl, to take this concept to the next level. Derek and Yanik have just released their “Underground Uprising Manifesto,” a multi-part, multi-media tutorial series.  The program provides more real-world value than a lot of paid Internet courses out there, and the best part is that you don’t pay a dime for the material!

They want to give every legitimate business owner and entrepreneur a roadmap to strategically decide who to follow and what they really need to enhance their online ventures. Be advised: This isn’t a big launch or anything like that. It’s something totally different that I’m absolutely lending my support to, because this message needs to be heard. I love reading about how entrepreneurs today are keeping up with the latest technology and blogging about it! Besides this site I've read a lot of blogs by entrepreneurs like Clint Sanderson and many more. I will surely be back to this blog soon. Thanks again for the great posts.

Thanks for posting this - I intend to download it immediately!

I got started on the 'net in 2004 and initially was following Corey Rudl. I remember the day he died because I was taking one of his mentoring courses and it was devastating. When Derek took over we all wondered what he would do with IMC. Although we all miss Corey, Derek has been another excellent teacher.

Yanik is one of the first marketers I followed, too. And I am so glad to read about what he is doing now. I can't tell you how sick to death I am of all the launches and gurus! Way to go.

I think the internet is a marvellous place to start but, there are still many other ways of making money that are now been left on the table. Just food for thought when looking at making money.
